Spring Picks for Wardrobe updates … xxx

New additions this week have us rearranging our wardrobes to make room for our favourite spring looks… Amber & Thomas arrived on Monday, bringing with it Genetic, Laura Made This and the final drop of Kathryn Wilson’s shoes …

Amber & Thomas is one of our key picks for an Aussie label to watch on your fashion radar – we are coveting A&T’s Sage coloured one piece to add back with Sretsis’s Mia Rib Skirt in Black. For a laid back summer fling add a pair of Hussy’s Phoenix slouch sandals, or to glam it up a notch Kathyrn Wilson’s black crocodile Nikki Heel is a must. Our favourite accessories to play with are definitely Kloset’s breast plate necklaces… a label that is relatively new to Aussie shores means that your look is kept individual and hard to copy. Another must-have is A&T’s leather mini… yes, it’s Qld, it’s summer, it’s hot, but this skirt is rather too sexy to leave to other states – Zip front and pockets, think outside the square and add a huge splash of colour… We love Sretsis’s Dee Dee Lace Halter Top in Acid Pink… add a pop hue to your feet too xxx

Keep it casual with a fab denim addition… Genetic’s Zipper Recessive jean in Oxide (white) is fresh, fun and totally for summer only. To avoid the cliche add basic shapes such as tanks in silk jersey or oversize tee’s in organic cottons. Keep metal jewellery to a minimum (the only gold should be costume please!) or layer up one off pieces from local designers, add a slicked back ponytail or a natural head of curls. The new fashion shape from Genetic is borrowed from your boyfriend, has a twist of the early 90’s and a flash back of Kate Moss circa Johnny Depp – the Davis is a slouch cigarette leg in a dark wash old vintage – perfect to cuff at the ankles and wear anytime from Friday night to Monday morning.

Everytime we receive a drop of Kathryn Wilson we promise ourselves next season we will order more… The Lena Hi Top in a pastel watercolour print is just about the cutest sneaker-esque shoe around. A textile outer and leather lining and a comfort factor to boot (literally) means you can wear these with all of the above… leather mini – tick! … denim – tick! … poolside – tick! The only negative is that we hope we don’t wear them out for next winter…would def be so cute with tights! xxx
