This
fashion label has a spirit of fun & adventure, travels,
storytelling & romance… just like the tale of the intrepid twosome
who brought the brand to life. limedrop began as a love story between
designers Clea Garrick and Nathan Price. After falling for each other in
their hometown in the tropical far reaches of the Northern Territory,
they travelled hand in hand to Brisbane, Sydney, and finally to
Melbourne, where they launched the label in 2005. Known for their use of
clear lines, bold colours, unisex structured pieces and curious
proportions, the fashion collection is both contemporary and wearable
with a large dose of energy dropped in for good measure…xxx
Was there a particular moment you can re-call that was your
‘calling’ to work in the industry?
Clea: When I was in high school, I used to get on the sewing machine and
create something new to wear to the party that night. I had so many
clothes I could go a full year without repeating an outfit!
If you could have one person wear limedrop who would it be?
David Bowe
Where do you find inspiration?
We are lucky to be surrounded by amazing people who inspire us.
What is your favourite piece from the summer collection &
why?
Clea: I love the Floaty Fluted Collar blouse- it is so soft, sheer and
feminine, perfect with heels to be dressy or a slouch cardigan for
casual.
Nathan: It has to be the Very very big shirt- linen is actually cooler
than not wearing anything at all.
