Laurence Pasquier is the modern spin of Euro Chic that we love in our wardrobes. Born and raised in France and a traveller of the globe, Laurence has fused her passion for form, fashion and the feminine to produce a label which is a beautiful mix of fashionable contradictions – sensual, yet raw, romantic, yet edgy, modern shapes yet timeless perfection of tailoring – the obsession of French styling the result of early years spent fossicking through her mother’s wardrobe and adorning herself in her Aunt’s creations. After studying business in London, experience in the fashion industry in Paris (Pret-a-porter showrooms for Yves Saint Laurent, Jean Paul Gaultlier, Christian Dior & Vanessa Bruno), and a year long trip through Vietnam and India to find the best in silks, Laurence meld her Parisian roots with the Australian lifestyle to launch her first collection in Sydney in 2001… Laurence’s styling philosophy… to enhance woman’s femininity whilst cultivating an edge…

Was there a particular moment you can re-call that was your ‘calling’ to work in the industry?
When I was working in a pret-a-porter show room in Paris back in the late 90 s.

Who is your favourite designer?
I have so many favorite designers and it would be unfair to name a few….Nicolas Guesquiere for Balenciaga, Dries Van Noten, Stella Mc Cartney etc…

If you could have one person wear LP who would it be?
Charlotte Gainsbourg….is next on my list after Audrey Tautou !

Where do you find inspiration?
Anywhere, people, travel / landscape for colours, movies and art exhibition etc…. and of course Paris for the sophistication and style that you can breath when you walk in the street !!!

What is your favourite piece from the summer collection & why?
I love our Organic cotton maxi dress in Stone and Turquoise…it is a great piece for the hot Australian Summer.

What has been your ultimate fashion moment?
I don’t have one in particular…I guess it is looking at the end of a shoot and seeing our work at its best….

Key Look for summer…
Slouchy white silk/ linen pants and shorts, organic cotton all in one suit, Slouchy T-shirt dress and nice jersey poncho to wear on top of your bikini at the beach

Your advice for stylish travelling…
Pack light and depending on your stay…make sure you cover 4-5 day outfit/, 3 night outfit and 3 pairs of shoes….. always includes a soft tailored Jacket, slouchy T-shirts and some great accessories and of course some perfume to finish off!

How will you spend Christmas Day?
In France with my familly and maybe in the snow !!!
